Hello NowCandid fam!
â
It's your friendly bot, Candy, here to walk you through our latest and greatest features in the NowCandid Microsoft App Version 2.0.71. Get ready for some sweet updates!
â
Canon Wireless Connectivity Unveiled! đˇ
â
Have a Canon camera? We've got some thrilling news for you! Certain newer models of Canon cameras, primarily from around 2020 onwards, can now go cord-free and wirelessly connect to tablets. Just imagine shooting without the constraints of a tethered cable!
Got multiple NowCandid Events? We've got you! With our new "Swap Events" button on the home screen, transitioning between various NowCandid Events has never been swifter.
â
This is especially handy for those covering multiple sports teams at a League while ensuring unique graphics and greater privacy. Rather than one SportsPics Now Event for everyone, break each team into their own Event. Every team gets their own exclusive All Images Gallery when you're using a Face Matching Workflow, and you will people will only see their group photos rather than everyone's.
â
A Closer Look: Zoom & Pan đ
â
We've all been there â wanting to get up close and personal with a pic to check out every detail. Now you can! With our Zoom and Pan feature in the image gallery, feel free to zoom right in right there on the tablet whenever you or a subject want a detailed peek at a photo.
â
Crystal Clear Checkbox â
â
We're all about clarity! So, we've revamped that SD checkbox text you see when you're logging in. It now reads as "Upload all images on SD card."
â
When checked during event login, every image on the camera's SD card will get uploaded to the logged-in NowCandid Event. Super useful for those moments when you're short on tablets but big on pictures to share!
â
And A Little Extra... đ§
â
Of course, there are the usual sprinkles of minor improvements and fixes, ensuring that your NowCandid experience remains smooth and enjoyable!
â
And there you have it!
â
As always, we're working tirelessly to bring you the sweetest features and fixes. đ
â
Until next time, keep snapping and enjoy the new updates!
Candy here, welcoming you to a slightly lighter Weekly Recap than usualâthough trust me, next weekâs is shaping up to be pretty big, so stay tuned!
â
Letâs dive into the latest changes and features arriving on NowCandid⢠this week.
â
1. Group Photo Toggle for PartyPics⢠đˇď¸ â
Weâve extended the Group Photo toggle on the Manage Images page to include PartyPics⢠events:
â
Mark as Group Image: Place that photo at the end of every participantâs personal gallery. â
Selling Group Photos: â
If you have group photoâspecific products, those images are only purchasable on those items. â
If not, theyâre sold on your normal product lineup. â
No Automatic Marketing: Group photos wonât trigger separate marketing, but theyâll appear for everyone with a personal gallery.
â
Itâs a handy way to ensure attendees see any large group or crowd shots without extra hassle!
â
2. Improved Participant Counts đ
â
Our Participant counting system just got more accurate:
â
Combined Contacts: If a single Selfie Check-In⢠has multiple Contact entries, it now counts as one "Participant", rather than one Participant for each Contact. â
Counts Across the Platform: These updated numbers apply in Reports, the Event Management page, and the Participant Management page. â
Contact Details: Youâll still see a Total Contacts count below the Participant countâso you can manage each Contact's gallery and info as needed, as usual!
â
These more accurately reflect how many individuals were actually at your events, while preserving key data about whoâs who and how many contacts you collected.
â
3. Face Matching⢠for Portraits Now đ¤ł
â
Lastly, you can now choose to run Face Matching⢠in your Portraits Now events:
â
Previously Positive ID Only: Portraiture Events historically used only Positive ID, but many photographers brought up use cases for face-based workflows in certain portrait sessions! â
Example: It can help with portraiture Events for which clients may be taking time to do outfit changes, or go to multiple portrait stations. Face Matching allows you to photo subjects out of order, without any slowdowns or multiple entries.
â
Itâs another way weâre giving you flexibility to craft the best workflow for your clientsâ needs.
â
â
Thatâs it for this week, folks!
â
Sometimes even small updates can have a big impact on your Workflow! So thanks for staying tuned.
â
As always, if you have any questions or feedback, donât hesitate to reach outâand donât forget to check back next week for some very exciting changes!
Candy here, ready to sprinkle some sparkle on your day with another Weekly Recap.
â
Weâve been hard at work enhancing your NowCandid⢠experience, and Iâm excited to show off our newest additions. Letâs dive in!
â
1. Cover Images for Retail Site đźď¸
â
Weâve introduced Cover Images at the Event level, letting you show a branded or thematic graphic before participants view their personal or All Images Gallery.
â
Optional 16:9 Graphic: Upload a design that appears front and center on both Personal Galleries and All Images Galleries. â
Great for Branding & Info: Add sponsor logos, event branding, or a short messageâanything you want your subjects to see first. â
Mobile vs. Desktop: Remember that most traffic is on mobile, so prioritize how it looks in the center portion of your 16:9 artwork.
Ads Every 20 Slides: Upload a 16:9 advertisement to appear periodically. Perfect for self-promotion, sponsor plugs, or event info. â
Background Color Customization: Choose black or white instead of the default blurred backgroundâtailor LiveLoop⢠to your eventâs aesthetic. â
Arrow Key Controls: Tap left/right arrows on your LiveLoop⢠device for immediate next/previous slide control. Handy for highlighting particular shots in real time.
â
Whether itâs brand synergy or a sponsor shout-out, LiveLoop⢠is now more dynamic than ever!
â
3. Event Tag Public Event Lists + Header Graphics đˇď¸
â
Remember the Event Tags introduced not long ago for streamlined reporting? Weâve expanded on that:
â
Public Event List URL: Each Event Tag now generates a public link showcasing all âAll Imagesâ galleries from events tied to that tag. â
Search & Sorting: Visitors can filter through events by name or date, plus reorder from newest to oldest and more. â
Header Graphic: Optionally upload a 16:9 cover photo to top this public list pageâgreat for a cohesive brand look or partner organizationâs branding.
â
Schools in particular asked for a single place where everyone can find photos from the yearâs eventsâproms, sports, graduations, you name itâand now itâs just a single link!
â
Candid Color Photography's OUÂ Football Public Event List with a Header Image.
â
4. Retail Site Tweaks đď¸
â
We made some housekeeping changes on the retail site to pave the way for upcoming features:
â
New âHamburgerâ Menu: Instead of multiple icons in the top-right, thereâs one button that opens a menu with descriptions. â
Cleaner UI: Itâs more intuitive for end customers to find helpful features, boosting engagement and reducing confusion.
â
Expect more improvements next weekâstay tuned!
â
More descriptive tools for retail site visitors!
â
5. More Miscellaneous Improvements đ
â
Google Wallet for Simple Check-Inâ˘: Subjects can now add their own unique event QR code after completing check-in to Google Wallet, not just Apple Wallet. â
Orders Page Upgrades: While viewing an Eventâs orders, youâll now see how many retouchings, diamond gloss upsells, and various express checkouts are being usedâperfect for gauging those extra revenue streams. â
Background-Removed Images with Custom Backgrounds: On the Participant Details page and the Private Image Download Gallery, background-removed photos now display with any photographer-uploaded backgrounds and are downloadable. A convenient touch for both you and any event organizers you collaborate with.
â
Thatâs it for this Weekly Recap!
â
We hope these features add some pizzazz to your events, make LiveLoop⢠more engaging, and simplify your day-to-day management.
â
If you have any questions or feedback, just give us a shoutâyour input helps shape the future of NowCandidâ˘.
Candy here, ready to sprinkle some sparkle on your day with our latest Weekly Recap. Weâve been hard at work enhancing your NowCandid⢠experience, and Iâm thrilled to share all the juicy new features. Letâs dive in!
â
1. Simple Check-In⢠for Positive ID Events đ¤ł
â
Weâre introducing a brand-new way to make your Name Lookup and Scanner ID⢠Workflows even smoother:
â
Single QR Code: Print just one QR code for the entire event. Participants scan it, enter their name and contact info, and a âblankâ participant is instantly createdâno selfie required. â
Photographer & Wallet Benefits: Photographers can now quickly search by name if the event uses Name Lookup, or if the participant adds the pass to Apple Wallet (Google Wallet coming very soon), you can scan them later for Scanner IDâ˘. â
No More Bulk Scan Cards: Skip printing individual codes for everyoneâone event code can do it all!
â
Scan Cards are still great in many situations, so this isn't a replacement - just an addition! Something to make the Name Lookup & Scanner ID⢠Workflows even more flexible!
â
Accessible by clicking the QRÂ code within a Positive ID Event's Management Page
â
2. New Products Report đ
â
Weâve introduced a new Products Report on your NowCandid⢠web dashboard:
â
Most-Purchased & Highest-Revenue Products: See which items or packages your clients love most. â
Standard Filters: Use the same powerful search options you knowâby event, date range, program type, Event Tag, and more. â
Data-Driven Decisions: Identify your top performing items and make more informed Custom Offer adjustments!
â
If youâve been curious which prints, downloads, or merch are hot, this is your new go-to spot!
â
Accessible from the Home tab of the web dashboard
â
3. Image Management Additions:
â
Multi-Select Enhancements đ ď¸
â
Weâve expanded multi-select capabilities in Manage Images to handle even more tasks at once:
â
GroupTags: Now you can edit or remove GroupTags⢠for all selected images simultaneously. â
Select All Visible: Quickly grab every image on the current page to speed up those bulk actions.
â
Accessible using the multi-select button within an Event's Manage Images page
â
New Folder-Wide Options đ
â
We also added a new Edit Folder button when a folder is selected:
â
Change Folder Visibility: Toggle an entire folderâs images between visible or invisible. â
Group Status: Mark them as Group Photos or individual images in one go. â
GroupTag: Apply the same GroupTag⢠to every image in the folderâsuper handy for sorting large event albums.
â
Mass management, simplified!
â
Accessible using the Edit Folder button within an Event's Manage Images page
â
4. Face Matching⢠Formula Switch đ§Š
â
We added a new toggle in Edit Event to adjust how strict or lenient our Face Matching⢠algorithm is:
â
Stricter Matching for Kids: If youâre dealing with lots of little ones who keep popping up in the wrong gallery, flip this switch for fewer âextraâ matches. â
Default Remains Flexible: Our usual method still works great for most events. If needed, you can always manually unassign images from a participant in the dashboard.
â
Less confusion, more accurate galleriesâeveryone wins!
â
Accessible when editing a Face Matching type Event
â
5. Manage Images: New Filter Menu đźď¸
â
Weâve reorganized the Manage Images page with a dedicated menu for filters:
â
Cleaned-Up UI: Too many filters were crowding the page; now theyâre in one easy-to-access spot. â
Clear Active Filters: Itâs easier to see whatâs on and whatâs off, plus you can remove filters with a single click.
â
Navigating your images should feel more intuitive and less cluttered than before.
â
Accessible using the Filters button within an Event's Manage Images page
â
6. Image Timeline Screenshot Download âąď¸
â
Our Image Timeline feature now has a handy Download Screenshot button:
â
Quick Sharing: Snap a chart of your shooting pace or AI analysis and send it to your photographers or team. â
Easy Feedback: Show them exactly where the busy or slow spots were without extra steps.
â
A small detail that can make a big difference for team communication.
â
Accessible using the Camera-icon button on an Event's Image Timeline page
â
7. Event Tag Add Popup Improvements đˇď¸
â
When adding events to a tag from the Event Tags page:
â
Select Multiple Events at Once: No need to add them one by one. â
Filtered Display: It only shows events that donât already have that tag, saving clicks and confusion.
â
A quicker way to keep your events organized and ready for deeper insights.
â
Accessible using the Add Events to Tag button on the Event Tags page of the Web Dashboard
â
8. Marketing Tweak: Day0 with Group-Only Galleries âď¸
â
If a participantâs personal gallery only contains Group Photos, Day0 marketing wonât trigger:
â
Fewer Unnecessary Texts/Emails: Prevents those âhereâs your gallery!â messages when thereâs not much for them to see yet. â
Smarter Outreach: Focus your marketing on participants who have individual images waiting.
â
This slight change can tidy up the user experience for your SportsPics⢠or GradPics⢠events.
â
9. Capture App 4.13.71 (iOS Only) đ
â
Some app updates for iPhone/iPad users:
â
iPad UI Fix: Addresses a bug when launching in portrait mode. â
Event Number: Now appears next to the event name, so youâre less likely to shoot under the wrong event. â
Volume Trigger Fix: The internal camera capture now works again for devices that had issues after recent iOS changesâgreat news for those using volume-based triggers!
â
Thatâs it for this Weekly Recap!
â
We hope these upgrades help you handle your events faster, deliver better experiences to your clients, and keep the momentum going all year long.
â
As always, let us know if you have any questions, ideas, or just want to say hi.
The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content.
A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!
Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.
