The NowCandid retail site has undergone a major facelift! Our new interface is clean, modern, and minimalist, with a step-by-step ordering process that makes purchasing photos easier than ever.

The site was built mobile-first to ensure the ideal mobile phone experience, recognizing that mobile traffic has become a huge chunk of retail web traffic in recent years, especially with the effectiveness of SMS marketing that NowCandid provides.

Curious about how your clients' photos will look on different products? We’ve got you covered! As soon as they select a photo, it instantly renders on most products in our gallery. Plus, when adding certain products to their cart, customers can choose different colors and art styles, and input text fields—all of which will render as they make their choices.

This means your clients can see exactly how their image will appear on prints, canvases, and more as they peruse the product list and customize their orders. This visual preview is sure to enhance their shopping experience!

AI Background Generator for BGR Images 🤖🎨

Get creative with your background-removed (BGR) images using our new AI Background Generator! Now, your end customers can type in text prompts to generate fun and unique backgrounds for their photos.

Whether they want a beach scene, a starry night, or something entirely imaginative, the AI will bring their vision to life. The possibilities are endless and sure to delight your clients!

Retouch All Switch ✨

We know your clients want their photos to look their best, so we’ve added a “Retouch All” switch during checkout. With just a flip, they can apply light retouching to everything in their cart.

This retouching includes slight blemish reduction, smoothing of complexion, red-eye removal, teeth whitening, and eye brightening. It’s the perfect way to ensure their prints are picture-perfect! While also generating you additional revenue.

Diamond Gloss Upsell 💎

Looking to add a little extra shine to your clients' prints? Our new Diamond Gloss upsell option lets them do just that!

For a few extra dollars, they can add a glossy coating to their prints, giving them a luxurious, high-quality finish that they’ll love.

In the future, we will be adding more unique print upsells, stay tuned!

🏀 JerseyJotter™ Got Even Smarter

Multiple jersey numbers at once? Don’t mind if I do! 🎯

Retail customers can now filter by more than one jersey number while browsing galleries—so if they’re hunting down that epic shot of #1 handing off to #23, they can actually find it. The more, the merrier!

✨ New & Improved Product Renders!

Our non-rendering products got a visual upgrade! Depending on the program or market, you’ll now see better sample graphics in the product gallery for:

🖼️ Quic-Event Tweak: When not selling a Digital Download product in your Quic-Events, the free download will now be much higher resolution!

🤳 Selfie Check-In™: A sneaky bug was messing with Selfie Check-In™ on some phones, but I waved my magic wand and poof—fixed.

📅 Report Date Picker: You can now select dates earlier than July 2023 when setting date ranges for reports. A little overdue... but better late than never, right? 😅

🖼️ BGR x Retail: A More Intuitive, Sellable Experience

Big changes have landed to make Background Removed (BGR) images shine where it matters... in your customers’ galleries and carts.

Here’s what changed:

  • BGR Renders in Personal Gallery Downloads: Pre-rendered BGR images are now included in the downloadable gallery, making products more attractive and support calls less frequent.
  • 🔄 Smarter Image Order in Retail Gallery:
    1. Background 1 pre-renders
    2. Cutouts with "Select a Background" labels
    3. Original Images
    4. Backgrounds 2–4 Pre-Rendered
    5. Group Photos / PhotoTagged images
  • 🛍️ Smarter Package Image Selection:
    • Pre-rendered BGR images now appear during image selection for packages.
    • Ordering of images follows the same flow as above, bringing consistency across the experience.
  • 📱 Mobile Background Step Skipped:
    • Pre-renders act more like real images now, with background selection skipped on Mobile devices to reduce confusion.
    • Background selection still available on Desktop
  • 💡 Visual Cue for BGRs:
    • BGR images now feature a subtle “Select a Background” overlay to help guide customer expectations and improve product engagement.

We've made changes to product pricing and shipping rates, with statuettes dropping over 40% in product cost!

Some costs have gone up slightly, but others went down—here’s a rundown of the biggest changes:

What’s a Rich Text element?

The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content.

A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!

Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.
