â
1. Check-In Info Saves to Account đ
â
We know every second counts during an event. Now, when subjects perform a Selfie Check-In⢠while logged into quic.pics, their check-in info is automatically saved to their account for future events.
â
Streamlined Check-In:
⢠Reuse saved check-in details for faster access at subsequent events. â
⢠Speeds up the process and reduces repetitive data entry. â
⢠Works for both Selfie Check-In⢠as well as Positive IDâ˘Â Check-In.
â
Expedited Selfie Check-In⢠for your regular subjects, woo!
â
2. QuicPics⢠Text Character Increase đ˛
â
Our marketing messages just got a boost! You now have more characters available when customizing the âYour images are arriving soonâ text for QuicPics⢠events.
â
More Room to Create:
⢠Tailor your messaging with extra characters for a more personalized touch. â
⢠Future tweaks may come, but for now, enjoy the expanded flexibility!
â
Previously capped at 100 characters, you'll have a bit more wiggle room going forward!
â
3. QuicPortraits⢠Pricing Now at 10¢ per Image đ°
â
Good news for portrait photographers who get paid upfront! Weâve adjusted the QuicPortraits⢠pricing down to 10¢ per image from 12¢. This change is designed to help you offer headshots and individual portraits at a lower rate.
â
Cost-Saving for Portraits:
⢠QuicPortraits⢠is aimed specifically at headshots and portraits where only one person receives the images. â
⢠Expect further tweaks to QuicPortraits in the future, but the cost-saving is here to stay!
â
QuicPortraits⢠is now 10 cents, down from 12!
â
4. GroupTags⢠Enhancements đˇď¸
â
Weâve made it easier than ever to manage group photos and individual shots with GroupTagsâ˘.
â
Import GroupTags:
⢠Upload a spreadsheet to auto-create as many GroupTags⢠as you needâperfect for events with many teams or groups.
â
GroupTagging Individuals:
⢠Now you can assign GroupTags⢠even to Individual Photos, not just Group Photos. â
⢠This change gives you more flexibility when organizing the Groups of images your customers can filter by on the retail site. Possibly helpful for some action photographers!
â
GroupTags⢠are now no longer limited to only Group Photos!
â
5. Miscellaneous Updates đ§
â
A few extra tweaks to enhance overall performance and clarity:
â
Shortened Marketing Links:
⢠All links in marketing texts are now shortened without compromising URL security.
â
Informative Color Profile Errors:
⢠When an image is uploaded with the wrong color profile, the error now specifies which color profile the image has, instead of just saying âwrong color profile.â

3. Hold Marketing Feature â¸ď¸
â

⢠Auto-Resume: â If you forget, the campaign will auto-resume on the first Friday after 20 days from the eventâs start date. â

Candy here, and welcome to this weekâs Weekly Recap.
â
Weâve got some exciting updates that will make your NowCandid⢠events even smootherâso grab a coffee and letâs dive in!
â
Extended Face Matching⢠Window âł
â
Great news for Face Matching⢠events! Weâve extended the Face Matching⢠window to last 30 days from your eventâs start date. Hereâs what that means:
â
⢠Longer Matching Period: â Previously, Face Matching⢠ended when the event concluded. Now, images uploaded even several weeks late will still find their matches, as Selfie Check-In⢠remains live for the full 30 days! â
⢠Consistent Marketing: â Thanks to Tiered Pricing on each participantâs Day 0 text, even late joiners receive the same marketing campaign and discount opportunities. â
⢠Event End Date Still Matters: â While Face Matching⢠remains active for 30 days, the eventâs End Date still determines when the event disappears from the Capture & Upload App and the limited-access Event Management Portal. â
⢠Flexible Event Management: â After creating an event, you can now edit its End Date, allowing you to keep an event active longer if needed. Plus, on the All Images Gallery, Selfie Check-In⢠is prominently displayed for Face Matching⢠eventsâmaking it easier for stragglers to get their images.
â
This extended window opens up new opportunities and helps ensure no one misses out on their photos!

â
Image Overwrite Feature in the Web Dashboard đ
â
Weâve heard your requests: now you can overwrite images using the Image Uploader on the Web Dashboard!
â
⢠Edit & Replace: â For Positive ID⢠events, you can now replace unedited images with edited ones. The new, updated images will slot directly into each participantâs retail gallery and your Manage Images page, replacing the originals seamlessly. â
⢠Enhanced Workflow for Positive IDâ˘: â This is a game changer for Positive ID⢠events that require a tethered tablet. You can take photos, assign them during the event, then edit and replace them laterâall without disrupting your marketing. â
⢠Important Reminder: â For Face Matching⢠events, we still recommend using Selfie Check-In⢠and uploading your edited images once youâre done fine-tuning. And always export in the proper sRGB color profile for printing and uploading.
â

â
Miscellaneous Updates âď¸
â

Thanks for being an essential part of the NowCandid⢠community, and keep capturing those unforgettable moments!
The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content.
A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!
Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.
