We've been busy bees these past few weeks, and I can't wait to share all the fantastic new features and improvements we've made to help you shine even brighter. โœจ

1. Manual Gallery Assignment & Participant Creation ๐Ÿ› ๏ธ

We're thrilled to announce that manual gallery assignment and participant creation are now live! This means you can:

2. Tweaks to the Retail Site for a Smoother Experience ๐Ÿ›๏ธ

We've made several improvements to our retail site to enhance the shopping experience for your clients:

  • โ—‹ "Tap image to get started" text now shimmers on the initial gallery screen to guide users who aren't sure what to do next.

  • โ—‹ Package creation improvements make it more intuitive for customers to customize their packages and select photos.

  • โ—‹ Product renders in the cart: The view cart screen now displays product images next to every item, including items within multi-item packages, for increased clarity.

4. New Image Notifications for Previous Purchasers ๐Ÿ›Ž๏ธ

The latest Capture App Version 4.4 is now available for both iOS and Windows, featuring:

  • โ—‹ Keyboard support for Windows: Windows laptop users can now input phone numbers using the keyboard when using the Tap-A-Face Workflow.

  • โ—‹ Performance improvements: Smoother and faster app experience.

  • โ—‹ sRGB color checking: The app now ensures images are in sRGB format, preventing issues caused by Adobe RGB images.

8. Bulk Visibility Control for Image Folders ๐Ÿ“

We've added a handy button in the Manage Images page, when you have a folder selected:

  • โ—‹ Mark entire folders as visible or invisible with one click.
    โ€
  • โ—‹ Use cases: Quickly hide a batch of images that need reworking, such as a blurry set.
    โ€
  • โ—‹ Saves time: Streamlines the process of managing large numbers of images.

Sometimes, mistakes happen! Now you can use this button to quickly hide images in bulk as you work to correct issues.

9. Customize "All Event Images" Gallery Settings ๐Ÿ–ผ๏ธ

You now have more control over the All Event Images gallery:

  • โ—‹ Override default settings at the Offer level.
    โ€
  • โ—‹ Options:
    โ€
    • Turn off the All Event Images gallery for Face Matching Events.
      โ€
    • Turn on the All Event Images gallery for Positive ID Events.
      โ€
  • โ—‹ Recommendation: We suggest sticking with the defaults, but if you'd like to explore the pros and cons, click here to schedule a chat with us!

10. Simplified Selfie Check-In ๐Ÿ“ฒ

We've made the Selfie Check-In process even more user-friendly:

  • โ—‹ Only requires a cell number OR email address.
    โ€
  • โ—‹ Encourages participation: Even though neither field says "optional," most people still provide both.
    โ€
  • โ—‹ Addresses Fringe Issues: Every now and then, someone doesn't have (or refuses to provide) a cell or email address. This change will account for those individuals!

Enhances guest engagement and reduces fringe support issues, with no changes on your part!

11. New Unsubscribe Keyword: "NOPE"! ๐Ÿšซ

We've introduced a new, fun way for clients to manage their marketing preferences:

  • "NOPE": Clients can reply with this word to opt out of marketing for a specific event.
    โ€
  • Future communications: They will still receive messages for future events unless they opt out again.
    โ€
  • Accidental "STOP" replies: If someone replies "STOP" though, they'll need to send "START" to our marketing number to resume receiving texts.

This gives your clients more control while still keeping communication lines open for future events.

12. Seasonal Retail Themes: Apple Crumble & Candy Corn ๐Ÿ‚๐ŸŽƒ

Get into the festive spirit with our new retail site themes:

โ€œWe had a very successful Father/Daughter dance. The assistant principal was shocked at how organized and fast the pictures were this year. She also said that she didn't think dads would buy photos online. I told her that with my system, they will (this was our first year covering this event). Last year, dads had to pay with a paper order form, and many of them left the dance without taking photos because the line was so long. This year, we used Now Candidโ€™s Party Pics Now, with Tap-A-Face. And when dads entered a phone number, we asked them to put mom's cell phone number in.โ€ - Eric Miller

  • In one week, this event has done over $2,100 in sales and has ~$13.65 in sales per fatherโ€™s face tapped.
  • Father/Daughter pairs were shot with a sparkling golden backdrop for most photos.
  • Price Level 11 (the most expensive PPN price level) was used for this event. Accounting for the 85% margin digital downloads and Price Level 11's 80% margin on physical products: Millerโ€™s total profit margin was 82% of all sales and shipping.
  • No additional fees, charges, or unexpected costs makes for easy and instant accounting, and funds were deposited to his account within the week

Overall, this event was a homerun for MillerFoto and a great example of how effective Now Candidโ€™s systems can be when you shoot quality photography and book quality events.

NowCandid's Microsoft App: Out Now!

New features you'll find in the app:

  • Supports several new Nikon and Canon models that the previous NOW Candid app did not
  • Customizable App Passcode - ensures you are uploading directly to events in your account & is protected from other user's image uploads
  • New modern design for ease of use
  • More event information now available right from the tablet when logged in
  • Choose between dark or light mode (dark mode looks pretty slick! Try it out!)
  • Added button in settings that instantly pulls up the image hot folder
  • Easier installation and less issues with Window Defender
  • Smarter log out protocols (warnings if all images have not been uploaded)
  • "Upload from SD card" to manually add all images from an SD card to an event.
  • Useful if a camera was not connected to a tablet when images were shot, this provides another way to manually upload
  • OR if you had a second photographer on site without a tablet, they could upload their images through a tablet/laptop before leaving the event

How to uninstall the previous version of the app:

If you have previous versions of the Party Picsยฎ Now app or Now Candid app installed on your device, you will want to uninstall them. Make sure all data and images from any previous events have been transferred prior to uninstalling.

1. Navigate to "Add or remove programs"

2. Search for NowCandid to uninstall

Whatโ€™s a Rich Text element?

The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content.

A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!

Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.
